1/1/11 - Saturday

L'chaim: I was a good Shabbat guest because I literally sat and ate for about six hours straight.

Random Thought: Marathon training in a week!

12/31/10 - Friday

L'chaim: I had a lot of these on New Years', with great company.

Random Thought: Arak, you are my eternal enemy.

12/30/10 - Thursday

L'chaim: Today I handed out Bamba and candy to IDF soldiers stationed at the Lebanon border.

Random Thought: This feels stupid just to write.  It doesn't even compare to the sacrifice they're giving.  Look up Michael Levin

12/29/10 - Wednesday

L'chaim: Today I went along with a mincha to be the 10th person they needed, even though I really wanted to nap.

Random Thought: Didn't really have much of a choice in this one.

12/28/10 - Tuesday

L'chaim: Today I helped hand out donated toys to Israeli kids.

Random Thought: The point of the trip was to show the effect of the Gaza disengagement on Israeli families who were displaced, but helping people is not political.

12/26/10 - Sunday

L'chaim: Today I danced in a group with a newly engaged couple at the plaza in front of the Kotel.  We sang and congratulated him and it was a really spontaneous/happy moment.

Random Thought: There was a 3-second window when I could have joined in or sat out, and joining in brought other people in and then the group reached the tipping point and became an event.  Never hesitate to celebrate good things.

12/25/10 - Saturday

L'chaim: Today I was at dinner and someone I was with gave me an agurot (1/10th of a sheckel) to pay instead of a 10-sheckel coin.  It was an honest mistake and I didn't say anything, I just covered it.

Random Thought: I probably could've said something, but I think it's nice when people are laid back about small things like that.  It makes the world run more smoothly.
